SDM Foundation

I am not a violent person but sometimes my computer makes me want to throw it out the window.

Instead of seeing a psychologist, SDM Foundation is the right prescription.

Located on Main Street in Melrose, this extraordinary office has the right medicine for my ailing computer skills. Their bright and comfortable space immediately puts you at ease. Our appointment with Anthony went great, he listened to our issues and worked diligently and offered suggestions.

They do not do repairs, but you can bring in your computer and they will check if it needs updates – if they cannot get it running, they will refer you to a specialist.

SDM offers free individual assistance and small group classes. Their highly trained staff can help remotely or in person.

Their focus is teaching people how to use technology, such as computers and the Internet, to enrich their lives. They assist with all forms of digital literacy: email, the web, digital photography, spreadsheets, video chatting, etc.

Small businesses and nonprofits will find SDM staff available to help learn how to develop and maintain websites, social media, and other technology.

Their blog is filled with useful information I was too embarrassed to ask.

SDM Foundation was established in 2015, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Private Operating Foundation, and donations are tax deductible. The foundation uses the bequest of Stuart D. MacIntosh and donations to provide their no cost services.

During the month of April, they are accepting donations of used computer equipment – please check out this page for additional information.

SDM’s tagline is "making technology easy” and have a well-earned reputation for being patient, easy to work with, and welcoming.

SDM Foundation was exactly what the doctor ordered, make an appointment, and call me in the morning.
