Melrose Kicks Off Halloween Festivities With Annual YMCA Spooky Sprint

Hundreds of community members came out for the annual Spooky Sprint 5K hosted by the Melrose Family YMCA. Some runners came in costume, and serious runners and casual walkers alike enjoyed a beautiful morning workout.
The course wound through southern Melrose - down East Foster, Lebanon, and Sylvan Streets, through Pine Banks Park, and back up Main Street. Along the course, onlookers cheered for the runners and created a festive atmosphere.
