School Crossing Guards – Keeping Students Safe!

crossing

Every school day, crossing guards are there — rain or shine, in summer heat or winter cold — making sure students get to and from school safely.

They’re more than just safety monitors. They’re a warm smile in the morning, a reassuring presence in the afternoon, and a constant reminder that our kids are cared for.

Today, we celebrate and salute these unsung heroes who keep our community’s children safe.

If you are interested in becoming a crossing guard: Melrose Public Schools is hiring per-diem traffic supervisors to help our students safely cross public roadways while walking to and from school. Hours of work are mornings from approximately 7:40 a.m. to 8:25 a.m. and approximately a half hour at school dismissal, Monday through Friday.
