Michelle “Meesh” Ramadan is a seasoned potter and educator based in Melrose, with over two decades of experience in ceramics.
She is the creative force behind Meesh Pottery, a small-batch studio nestled in her home garage, where she crafts both wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces. Her work is a celebration of vibrant colors, tactile textures, whimsical figures, and minimalist floral designs — each piece infused with a sense of joy and playfulness.
Beyond her artistry, Meesh is deeply committed to social justice, donating 10% of all sales to nonprofit organizations supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Her passion for inclusivity extends into her role as the Arts for All Coordinator and a pottery instructor at Follow Your Art Community Studios, where she provides tuition assistance, ensures accessibility, coordinates community projects, and teaches pottery to children and adults. Her work reflects a dedication to fostering creativity and uplifting marginalized youth.
Meesh previously taught high school English, creative writing, and humanities. She also consults on diversity, equity, and inclusion. A lifelong learner, she holds degrees from Brown University and Lesley University, speaks multiple languages, and has traveled extensively—experiences that shape both her art and her worldview. Her two children are also budding artists.
Active in the local arts scene, Meesh regularly showcases her one-of-a-kind ceramics at events like the Melrose Open Studio Tour and the Melrose Arts Festival.
She loves Melrose for its accessibility, walkability, and strong sense of community, where neighbors genuinely look out for one another.
Through her craft, teaching, and advocacy, Meesh brings both beauty and belonging to the Melrose community.
