Salon Indulgence

Melrose has a lot of family businesses – many of them are father and son but there is a salon on Franklin Street that is a mother-daughter establishment. Salon Indulgence is owned by a native Melrosian, Kimberley Dunne. She shares the space with her daughter – Arianna Salvatore who owns Lux Laser Labs, a salon for hair removal and facials.

The space is beautifully decorated in a historic building at 525 Franklin St in the old Hills Newspaper stand. It has a tin ceiling, brick walls, and large windows to let in the natural light. Free parking behind the building.

I recently visited Salon Indulgence for a haircut and had a wonderful experience! The stylist, Kimberley, was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. My hair turned out exactly as I had envisioned it - fresh, modern, and perfectly cut. The attention to detail and care taken by the stylist was impressive. My favorite part – the hair washing – so sweet! I left feeling pampered and indulged (just like the salon's name promises!).
