Last year’s Melrose Arts Festival

This weekend, community members will be able to enjoy the 19th annual Melrose Arts Festival at Memorial Hall. The festival runs 11am to 5pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.

At the festival, over 40 local artists - a mix of familiar faces from Melrose and artists from other nearby communities - will be displaying and selling their work. Visitors can see work in a range of media, including paintings, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, and more.

On Memorial Hall’s lower level, Follow Your Art is running a Junior Artisan Market from 12pm to 2pm both days, where young artists from the community will have their own work on display.

Other highlights of the event include music from local musicians The Peanut Gallery, Santon, Jenny Montrose, and Charlotte Pearce; face painting by Florence Lee; caricatures by Matt Benson; and a community art project run by Follow Your Art.

The La Cabaña food truck will be set up outside Memorial Hall, and Mama Jean will be selling food and drinks inside the venue.

The Melrose Arts Festival is a beloved event for many Melrosians, offering visitors the chance to enjoy excellent local art, music, and food while enjoying one another’s company. See you there this weekend!

You can find more information about the event, including profiles of the artists who will be showing their work, on the Melrose Arts website.
